Child Custody Evaluations

My studies follow the American Psychological Association's Guidelines for Child Custody Evaluations in Family Law Proceedings (February 2009) as well as the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts' Model Standards of Practice for Child Custody Evaluations (May 2006). Thus, I interview and test both parents and all of the children involved in the dispute, observe each adult interacting with the children and any others who reside in the household, review relevant documents pertaining to the family members, and consider information provided by professionals or other individuals who are familiar with the family. My reports document all of the data available to me as they relate to the "Best Interest" factors as defined by the statute in the state which has jurisdiction over the matter.
